If you have any issues when trying this, then let me know and I will try and help, as it WILL work, but it might be trial and error at first, with the settings as they can vary for different people depending on guide camera, and guide scope being used. Please let me know how it goes. You mention a ‘ It is not necessary to power down the scope after parking; the driver can warm-reboot the Autostar II resulting in a ready-to-use aligned scope. How does it manifest whether it is aligned properly or not?
Due to a telescope upgrade I now have available my LX90 and a lot of accessories to go with it. If you move your scope or disengage lc90 RA or Dec clutches, then you must power up and align your scope with the handbox before connecting from your software.
This driver has been supplied by the manufacturer and has passed all conformance tests report here. If you upgrade from firmware 3.
I should now like to do some distance ‘stuff’ using the 8″ SCT, but I do mdade having all kinds of issues trying to guide with the LX Vixen SkySensor 6. I’ll let you know how it goes. Provides position readout, slews, side of pier where appropriate acom, and pulse guiding among its basic capabilities. Typically, one should connect to the Telescope driver first, then connect to the focuser.
We need an absolute minimum of subscribers to stand even a remote chance of breaking even on the development costs; so far we don’t have even half of that. Aligning and then re-trying everything will be my next step. ASCOM Meade Driver
Equatorial mounts do not need to be accurately polar-aligned although an accurate polar alignment will likely lead to a more satisfying observing experience. Simple applications such as planetarium slewing are more likely to work than demanding automation applications.
You should see a special “fingerprinting” phase on the handbox during this initial power-up. Read a tutorial on the LX Yahoo group about carefully marking the position before deforking to make sure it went back in the same place. The connector cable set will probably be what we’ll need.

Looks good to me, the declination can be altered by the north facing bolt at the front, as there is a nut above and below the wedge, there is a gap between the wedge and the top of the pier, but can’t be seen mease this image, so the actual wedge is sitting on four large nuts and washers, so as to be able to get perfectly horizontal to start, but Meeade guess the angle of the wedge needs to be pretty close and final adjustment with the bolt.
This version corrects the installer so it can be installed on Platform 5 and 6 and later. We might be able to use that. Controlling LX90 with Lxx90.
